Ken Melanson – Service Technician

We are happy to welcome Ken Melanson to our growing team of experts at Westway Machinery. He began his career in 1995 with Frank Brasier & Sons. When Frank Brasier & Sons was sold to Acme Saw in 2008, Ken continued to work with them. His outstanding performance led to a promotion to service manager, until Acme Saw’s closure in 2010. Most recently, Ken was the primary service technician and service manager at Globec Machinery, Ontario.

Coming to us with 18 years of experience in the band saw repair business, Ken is specializes in repairing Hyd-Mech and Hem band saws; however, he is proficient in servicing all types of band sawing machines.

Frank Perri – Order Desk Sales

Frank Perri has joined our excellent sales team at Westway Machinery, and we are certain he will be a great asset. Frank’s career started in 1981 with JB Reid, in outside sales of tooling supplies. He soon began to focus on the band saw industry, working with Doall until 1993. He continued working in the industry with Frank Brasier & Sons until the company was sold to Acme Saw. He became Acme’s key inside salesperson. Like Ken, Frank continued to work with Acme until their 2010 closure.

Frank has 32 years of sales experience with band saws and consumables. He has tremendous knowledge of these products, and is particularly familiar with Lenox saw blades and coolants.
